Hamburg: 3 research associates gesucht

Universität Hamburg invites applications for 3 Research Associates in

accordance with Section 28 subsection 3 of the Hamburg Higher

Education Act (Hamburgisches Hochschulgesetz, HmbHG).

The position commences on Oct. 1st 2018 .

 

Faculty/Departement: Humanities/

Seminar/Institute: European Ethnology/Cultural Anthropology

 

It is remunerated at the salary level of the Horizon 2020 MSCA ITN

lump sum for early stage re- searchers and calls for 100 % of standard

work hours per week*.

The fixed-term nature of this contract is based upon Section 2 of the

Academic Fixed-Term La- bor Contract Act

(Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz, WissZeitVG). The term is fixed for a

period of 3 years.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Duties primarily include research for the individual PhD project in

the framework of the Hori- zon 2020 Innovative Training Network

Participatory Memory Practices. Concepts, strategies, and media

infrastructures for envisioning socially inclusive potential futures

of European Socie- ties through culture (POEM), participation in the

PhD training programme, and the dissemina- tion activities of the POEM

research outcome. The following PhD projects are advertised (fur- ther

1. PhD 10 Memory modalities in diverse types of memory institutions 2.

PhD 11 Modalities of personal memory work 3. PhD 13 Internet ecologies

of open knowledge as future memory modalities

 

> Requirements:

 

A university degree in a relevant field. Excellent theoretical

competences and research skills, willingness to travel and for doing a secondment in a third country, an inter- and transdiscipli- nary

research orientation, basic IT knowledge. For detailed information on
