Lecturer in Anthropology Job Description
(PDF, 130.75kb)

You will join a large, dynamic Anthropology department offering a range of undergraduate and post-graduate programs in an institution specializing in the social sciences and arts and humanities.

The Department has an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research as demonstrated in the results of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework. You will have a PhD and teaching experience at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. You will also have administrative experience, and a research and publication record. You should be able to teach across a range of courses but we are particularly interested in recruiting a visual anthropologist and/or someone interested in mobility and migration.

You will be expected to participate fully in research, teaching and administration. The normal teaching load is approximately 3-4 course units per annum, including core and option courses across the curriculum, as well as MA and research student supervision. There is regular rotation of teaching and administrative duties and members of the Department serve on a variety of College Committees.
